Polybius - FAQs
I’m interested in reviewing one of your books. How can I do this?
Press and publicity copies can be requested from us directly. Please tell us the name of your publication and the intended review date.
You’ve only got one title on your publication list. Why is that?
We’re new! Our list will always be compact but hard-hitting.
Will I be expected to contribute towards publication costs?
A resounding no. Polybius authors will never be charged to get themselves in print. All costs are borne by us.
What royalties do you pay, and how often?
The royalty rate depends on whether your book is hardcover, trade or mass market, and can vary from 9% to 13% of net. We pay royalties on a six monthly basis.
Will you give me feedback on a rejected MS?
Time constraints prevent us from offering detailed explanations for why we opted to pass. We will, however, do our utmost to outline why we came to our decision, and advise you on the steps you might consider taking to enhance your chances of publication. Remember – only a handful of publishers do this.
